If there is a supply of weapons, it will not fundamentally change the situation, but it can intensify the help to Ukraine from the allies, the intelligence agency says.
The appeal to North Korea for military aid indicates serious problems in the Russian Federation with ensuring the war against Ukraine.
Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this on the FreeDom TV channel.
According to Yusov, today it is known that Russia has real problems with modern, high-precision and high-tech weapons.
"Although we see that not only with him. If the Russian dictator is forced to ask North Korea for artillery shells and other military aid, then we are talking about big problems in other directions as well." he noted.
Answering the question of how possible agreements between the Russian Federation and North Korea regarding armaments could affect the war in Ukraine, Yusov said:
"Such requests from Russia exist, and certainly any supply of weapons to an aggressor country is bad news for the front line. But it is impossible to say that this will fundamentally change the situation at the front. Yes, it will certainly help the occupiers to continue their defensive operations. But on the other hand, it can also intensify aid from the free world and democratic countries to Ukraine. That's why it's not worth making a disaster out of it."
Yusov also noted that Russia now continues to be critically dependent on the supply of Shaheds from Iran, as the occupiers are unable to establish their own production of drones. According to his information, Russia receives 100-120 Iranian drones in one batch.
Yusov also said that the Russians still have some capabilities in the production of missiles, but the pace and volume of production of missile weapons do not allow the aggressor to return to the stocks of the period before a full-scale invasion. Most of what they produce is immediately put into battle, on the Ukrainian peace infrastructure.
