The European Parliament recognizes the driver's rights of Ukrainian refugees in the EU. This initiative has already been supported by 561 members of the European Parliament (6 against, 5 abstaining).
Now new draft rules must be adopted by the European Commission and approved by the Council of the EU. It will enter into force 5 days after its publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
If the document is accepted, refugees will be able to continue to use Ukrainian driver's licenses without having to exchange them for an EU driver's license or pass a new test.
