The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi decided to withdraw our units from Avdiyivka. About it in a message on social networks said Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"Based on the operational situation that has developed around Avdiivka, in order to avoid encirclement and preserve the lives and health of servicemen, I decided to withdraw our units from the city and move to defense on more favorable lines," — wrote the general.
He noted that the Ukrainian defenders fulfilled their military duty with dignity, did everything possible to destroy the best Russian military units, and also caused the occupiers significant losses in manpower and equipment.
"We are taking measures to stabilize the situation and maintain our positions. The life of military personnel is the highest value. We will still return Avdiivka. GLORY TO UKRAINE!", - added Syrsky.
