Ukraine should be ready to join the European Union in two years. About this reports informed Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a Cabinet meeting.
According to him, this year Ukraine expects to receive a political decision from the EU regarding the start of accession negotiations.
"We set ambitious goals: to be ready to join the European Union in two years. The task is complex and complex. We are currently analyzing 29 EU legal documents that should become part of our legislation. This year, we expect to receive a political decision from the European Union to start accession negotiations," he said.
At the same time, Ukraine continues its integration into the EU internal market. Yes, it was already possible to agree on the extension of "transport" and "economic" visa-free travel with the EU for another year.
