Prosecutors are investigating Trump's $130 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels "for her silence" during the 2016 election campaign. The payment itself was not illegal, but Trump and his lawyer framed it as a fee for legal services, which is considered falsification of financial statements and a felony in New York state.
Trump denies everything and calls on supporters to protest.
