Today was already the fourth session of the Odesa Regional Council during the war period, the deputies gathered in the meeting hall, not online.
During the discussion of the agenda, the "European Solidarity" faction in its entirety left the meeting hall due to the reluctance of colleagues to support its initiative regarding the resignation of the deputy chairman of the council from the banned OPZZ party, Vadym Shkarovskyi.
This is the third time the EU is trying to put this draft decision to a vote, but it cannot gather the necessary 28 signatures of deputies. According to the mass media, not a single signature was provided by the "Trust the Business" faction.
In addition to the working issues of the session, the deputies considered and supported the petition to the President of Ukraine regarding the posthumous awarding of the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the "Golden Star" to the commander of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign to Colonel Vitaly Gulyaev.
During the session, the head of Odesa OVA Maksym Marchenko spoke to the deputies and spoke about the work of the grain corridor. According to him, since August 1, more than 2,5 million tons of grain products have been exported from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhnoye.
The head of the OVA also noted that Odesa farmers under martial law have already threshed more than 2,5 million tons of grain and have started sowing winter crops for the 2023 harvest.
An important part of Maksym Marchenko's report concerned the communities of the region. He said that in Kubeysk, Shiryavsk and Savran communities, the local government artificially creates problems for the population. As a result of which there are massive violations in relation to the residents of OTG in the land sector, the provision of administrative services and the provision of communal and medical services.
Marchenko emphasized that such cases should be of interest to law enforcement agencies and that relevant materials are already being processed by the National Police and the Prosecutor's Office.
