Interview

"The question of mobilization is primarily a question of justice," — Zelensky

Zelensky also commented on media reports about alleged war fatigue

Mobilization in Ukraine is necessary, first of all, in order for there to be justice, in particular, justice, so that people who have been at war against the Russian Federation since the first day can rest.

The soldiers who were at the front in the most powerful and difficult times deserve justice — to be replaced, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in an interview with Channel 4 News

"The issue of mobilization is, first of all, an understanding of what it is for different sectors of society. This is a question of justice, because there are people who have been at war since the first day, and the fact that they do not complain does not mean that there is no opportunity for people to replace them, to give them a break." said the president.

He added that the military deserves to be replaced at the front. If there are not enough people, then, in Zelensky's opinion, it is necessary to give the military a tool to do this. It is about the mobilization and training of new recruits.

"Therefore, a reasonable and fair law on mobilization is needed. That is, it is necessary for the military. It cannot be said that they have enough army. It is unfair and unfair... It is unfair to avoid when someone dies for you, and it is fair that a person should know where he is going, for how much, how well he will be prepared." emphasized the head of state.

Zelensky also commented on media reports about alleged war fatigue.

"When we say fatigue, we have to separate these things. We cannot afford war fatigue. Otherwise, it will happen that someone is protecting the state. I'm not only talking about the front, it's also people who work, who have businesses, who pay taxes. You can get tired of doing it under rockets, but people continue... If we get tired, we will lose what we have." said the president.

He noted that it is important not only to defend the state at the front, adding that doctors, teachers, and energy workers are also important for defense.

"You can afford to be tired in the evening, but in the morning you will have to defend the state, fight for it, if we want to preserve it." Zelensky emphasized.
