The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska said that she does not want Volodymyr Zelensky to run for a new term after the end of the war in the country.
The wife of the President of Ukraine said in an interview with the publication's podcast Economist, who dreams of quiet family happiness after the war.
Olena Zelenska expressed confidence in the final victory of Ukraine, saying that, if necessary, she is ready to live in the current difficult schedule for years. But still, after the end of the war, she would not like Volodymyr Zelensky to run for a new term again.
In the podcast, she was asked about the future of Ukraine after the war and plans for the future of her own family.
«Our family will be reunited. We will live together with my husband and children all the time. After that, we'll take a vacation and go somewhere, I don't know, but where, but only together. About a month." she said.
Zelenska noted that after that they will decide what to do next.
"Because I don't want him to be president for the next term. Or for the next two terms. It is impossible. We may have to find something new. And it will be a creative idea," — added the first lady.
When asked about their marital relationship, Elena said that the war had changed them both, but they were still important and interesting to each other.
But so far there is no time for a full vacation with my husband and children.
"Someday we can meet, but not just any day. Sometimes. In some secret place. We can meet sometimes, but I can't talk about any vacation, not even a weekend that we would spend together." she clarified.
Before being elected president, Volodymyr Zelenskyi promised not to run for a second presidential term, but after the start of the war, he said that he had no intention of leaving office until victory over Russia.
