Owners of land plots or shares who do not register their ownership rights may lose them. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
"The Legislature of Ukraine establishes that if the owner of an unclaimed land plot (share) or his heir has not registered the ownership right to the land plot by January 1, 2025, he is considered to have refused to receive the land plot," the message says.
Also, the Ministry of Justice explained that obtaining the cadastral number of the land plot is a necessary condition for registering ownership.
To assign a cadastral number, it is necessary to contact the State Geocadastre and submit for consideration such a package of documents: an application (in paper or electronic form) for the state registration of a land plot in the established form; the original documentation on land management, which is the basis for the formation of a land plot; documentation on land management, which is the basis for the formation of a land plot in the form of an electronic document.
