The higher anti-corruption court found guilty the former Acting Head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Odesa Region Nataliya Chebotaryova and her deputy Volodymyr Mosiychuk for offering and providing $25 in illegal benefits to Mykhailo Serbin, the head of the Prosecutor's Office of the Odesa Region.

"On November 9, 2023, with the participation of the prosecutor of the SAP, the panel of judges of the State Criminal Court announced a verdict by which the former acting head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service of the Odesa region and her deputy were found guilty of offering and providing $25 in illegal benefits to the head of the structural division of the regional prosecutor's office." - informs SAP.
Chebotaryova was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment, with the deprivation of the 5th rank of a civil servant and with the deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the implementation of administrative-economic and organizational-management functions for a period of 3 years, with the confiscation of all property belonging to her by right of ownership.
The court sentenced her deputy Mosiychuk to 5 years of imprisonment, deprivation of the rank of civil servant and deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the implementation of administrative-economic and organizational-management functions for a period of three years with confiscation of property.
The court's verdict can be appealed within 30 days from the day of its announcement by submitting an appeal to the Appeals Chamber of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
As the investigation established, only in November 2019, Chebotaryova together with Mosiychuk allegedly received $250 in illegal profits from entrepreneurs. In October, according to secret investigative (research) actions, they placed their people in key positions in order to later create such a scheme. The suspect handed over the first tranche of money to Serbin on December 13, which was recorded by NABU detectives. After that, she did not appear in Odessa for a month under the guise of being on sick leave.
