Britain will help Ukraine expand cyber defense

Great Britain will allocate 16 million pounds

The UK will allocate 16 million pounds ($20,5 million) to support Ukraine's cyber security. About this the Reuters publication.

As the representatives of England noted, this money will help Ukraine to better resist hacker attacks from Russia on vital infrastructure.

This aid package is to complement the previous one of 6,35 million pounds, which the UK announced last year.

"Russia's appalling attacks on Ukraine are not limited to their barbaric invasion of territory, but also include abhorrent attempts to attack their cyber infrastructure, which provides vital services, from banking services to energy supplies, to the innocent Ukrainian people. This funding is aimed at strengthening Ukraine's cyber defenses and increasing the country's ability to detect and disable malware targeting them," UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said.

Next week, Sunak will also ask entrepreneurs and businesses to increase their investment in Ukraine at a conference to help it rebuild the country's economy after the Russian invasion.
