US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken commented on the claims of Russian officials regarding the alleged drone attack on the Kremlin.

Anthony Blinken said the US could not confirm Russia's report that Ukraine attempted a drone strike against Vladimir Putin early Wednesday morning.
In response to a journalist's question about the authenticity of the reports, he said: “I have seen the reports, I just cannot confirm them in any way. We just don't know. Secondly, I would divide everything that comes from the Kremlin into two."
When asked about the US position on any possible Ukrainian attacks on Russia, he said: "It's up to Ukraine what decisions it makes to defend itself."
Edition CNN with reference to an anonymous source reports that the US government is still working on assessing Russia's claims and has not yet confirmed the Kremlin's claim that Ukraine tried to kill Putin.
"Whatever happened, there was no advance warning," another source said, adding that authorities are still trying to figure out what exactly happened.
