An important event in the history of Ukrainian cosmonautics will take place today. For the first time in 10 years, the Ukrainian satellite "Sich-2-30" will go into Earth's orbit.
The satellite was developed and manufactured in Dnipro at the Dnipro Design Bureau "Yuzhn" in cooperation with many other Ukrainian enterprises.
The launch will be made at 17:25 Kyiv time by Elon Musk's company SpaceX from Cape Canaveral, Florida (USA).
The main task of the satellite will be to obtain digital photographs of the Earth's surface — monitoring of land use, vegetation, forest and water resources, as well as for the elimination of natural disasters.
