India successfully launched 19 satellites and the text of the Bhagavad Gita into space

This launch became the first mission of the Indian Space Organization in 2021

On Sunday, February 28, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched the Indian polar rocket PSLV-C51 with the Amazonia-1 satellite and 18 other satellites. The launch took place from the Satish Dhawan Space Center on the island of Sriharikota.

This launch became the first mission of the Indian Space Organization in 2021. The launch of the PSLV-C51 launch vehicle took place at the scheduled time — 10:24 a.m. Eastern Time. 

Amazonia-1, weighing 637 kg, became the first Brazilian satellite launched from India and is an optical Earth observation satellite of the National Institute of Space Research (INPE).
