A case of Omicron strain disease was identified in Odessa. This was reported in the Odessa City Hall at a staff meeting.
The city health department received information about this on December 31. The Omicron strain was detected in the patient in a private laboratory during PCR testing for Covid-19.
The patient is a citizen of Ukraine. He works in another country and arrived in Odessa with his family. The family feels well, hospitalization is not required.
