Odessa is threatened by a shortage of children's covid beds. Places are running out in the covid-3 department of Odessa Children's Hospital No. 20. Now 30-XNUMX patients are admitted there every day. Levon Nikohosyan, director of the Health Department of the Odessa City Council, said this.
According to the official, the previous strains of covid affected mostly adults, according to which a "distribution" of covids was compiled: yes, out of more than 1000 beds available in the city, only 130 are intended for the accommodation of children.
In the previous waves, this was enough, but now children are more actively infected with the new strain of coronavirus, and the children's covid department is facing the threat of a shortage of places.
Currently, 130 out of 92 beds are occupied, and 10-20 new patients are admitted every day.
