The Verkhovna Rada adopted a draft law on the registration of vaccines against COVID-19 before the completion of clinical trials under certain conditions.
4613 deputies voted for draft law No. 280 "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Medicinal Products" Regarding the State Registration of Medicinal Products Under Obligations" in the second reading and as a whole on Friday.
The draft law provides for the possibility to register vaccines for use, provided that there are data on the successful conduct of preclinical tests, and clinical studies were conducted with the permission of the relevant competent authorities of the USA, Great Britain, the Swiss Confederation, Japan, Australia, Canada, China, Israel, India, Mexico, Brazil or the European Union.
The bill also prohibits registration in Ukraine of a vaccine developed in the Russian Federation.
