The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has defined four categories of appeals regarding the provision of emergency medical care depending on the patient's condition - critical, emergency, non-emergency and non-special.
The government approved the corresponding resolution at a meeting on Wednesday.
In addition, the government determined the arrival time of "ambulance" teams for the "critical" category - 10 minutes, for the "emergency" category - 20 minutes. In some conditions, exceeding this standard is allowed, but not more than in 25% of critical cases and 15% for emergency ones.
In non-emergency and non-special cases, the dispatcher will recommend to contact the family doctor or the emergency medical department. In the absence of such an opportunity, the dispatcher will send an "ambulance" team for non-emergency cases or provide remote medical consultation for non-special cases.
