Not vaccinated, but with a certificate: in the Odesa region, a woman ended up in intensive care

The incident happened in Izmail.

In the city of Izmail, Odesa region, a patient with a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 was transferred to the intensive care unit, but the woman had not been vaccinated. This is reported
the press service of the Department of Health of the Odesa Regional State Administration.

A few days ago, a patient was admitted to the Danube Regional Hospital in serious condition. She was brought from the Kyliy district hospital, where she was treated for about two days.

Prior to that, she was self-medicating for 10 days. The patient's condition deteriorated sharply, although the woman's medical card indicated a certificate with two doses of the vaccine.

"I can't say that this was a fake certificate. It may be correct, but it was issued to a patient who was not vaccinated. Only law enforcement agencies can prove or disprove the authenticity of the certificate," noted the general director of the Danube Regional Hospital Vitaly Haydukov.

According to the department, the patient was in serious condition, so a medical committee went to her home.

According to Vitaly Haidukov, the patient's condition could have worsened as a result of treatment at home, when she was uncomfortable confessing to the doctor.

She was told that her life and treatment depended on the vaccination. Then the woman reported that she was unvaccinated.

"We decided to conduct a commission examination of the patient. In the ward, in the presence of a nurse, me and the head of the "water" department, she was told: "You are in a very serious condition. Treatment tactics depend on whether you have been vaccinated. Your life depends on it - you need different drugs and different doses." Then she took the head of the department by the hand and said: "I am not vaccinated," Vitaly Gaidukov continues to tell.

On November 2, the patient was transferred to intensive care. According to the doctors, her condition continues to deteriorate and she needs active oxygen therapy, possibly even transfer to a ventilator.

The management of the hospital reported this case to the Health Department of Odesa Oblast and the Security Service of Ukraine.

Note that over the past day, 1 new cases of coronavirus infection, 648 deaths, were detected in the Odesa region.

In Ukraine, Covid-19 was confirmed in 26 people per day, and 488 people died.
