US Congressman Stephen Lynch, a Democrat from Massachusetts, tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday after receiving a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine earlier this month.
This was reported by Lynch representative Molla Rose Tharpa.
"Congressman Lynch received a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine and subsequently tested negative for COVID-19 prior to President Biden's inauguration... While Mr. Lynch is symptom-free and feeling well, he is self-isolating and will vote by proxy in Congress within the next week." , - said the representative.
It should be noted that a mass vaccination campaign against COVID-14 was launched in the USA on December 19. In particular, the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine is used for vaccinations. It was first approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
After Pfizer, the Moderna vaccine was approved for use.
