The longest open-air picture gallery was presented along the Odessa Health Route.
The exposition begins on the embankment of Maly Fontana (the former beach "Russia") and ends at the beach "Dolphin".
The gallery stretches along the Black Sea, approximately 500 meters.
"Our gallery under the open sky is longer than the one in Kiev on Andreyevsky descent. There, artists' paintings are displayed along the street for 300 meters," explained the organizer of the gallery, Kateryna Bogachynskaya.
More than 100 artists from all over Ukraine took part in the exhibition of paintings: Kyiv, Lviv, Kodyma, Chernomorsk, Izmail, Donetsk, and, of course, mostly from Odessa.
Also in the exposition are presented: works of the best students of the Odessa Art School named after K. Kostandy, students of the art and graphic faculty of the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky, the art faculty of the Odessa State Academy of Construction and Architecture, artists of the Union of Marines of Odessa
Ekaterina Bogachynskaya indicated that the main goal of the event is to bring paintings out of the dark halls of museums and galleries.
"We want to show that artists and galleries need open spaces, in addition to museums. They want to show and sell their work. The city should create such spaces free of charge for artists, thereby beautifying and attracting attention to new places," said the organizer of the event.
The exhibition of paintings on the embankment along the Health Route will be held on October 2-3 from 10:00 a.m. to 19:00 p.m.
All works of artists and gallerists can be purchased.
The event is timed to the 169th anniversary of the birth of Kyriak Kostanda, the founder of the generation of talented artists of Odessa (October 3).
