The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NKREKU) has reduced the maximum tariff for gas distribution to UAH 1,79 per cubic meter.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote about this in his Telegram channel on Tuesday, January 19.
"NCREKU at its meeting reduced the maximum tariff for gas distribution to UAH 1,79 per cubic meter. The regulator supported the general solution developed by the government, people's deputies and the specialized committee of the Verkhovna Rada," he said.
Thus, the maximum reduction in the distribution tariff will be up to 30%. Shmygal also explained that the amount of the marginal tariff at the level of UAH 1,79 will not be the same for everyone.
"NCREKU determined the upper limit of the tariff, however, for dozens of companies, this amount will be lower. In the near future, the parliament will also present an initiative that should reduce the gap in tariffs between different gas distribution companies and establish a fair tariff for gas distribution for all people," the Prime Minister added.
In turn, People's Deputy from "Servants of the People", Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services Andrey Gerus added that NKREKU reduced tariffs for gas distribution for 14 companies. According to him, the corresponding decrease concerns companies in which tariffs were significantly higher than the average for Ukraine.
In particular, the commission approved a reduction in gas distribution tariffs for:
- PJSC "Hadyachgaz"
- JSC "Zakarpatgaz",
- JSC "Ivano-Frankivskgaz",
- PJSC "Korostyshevgaz",
- JSC "Lubnygaz",
- CJSC "Melitopolgaz",
- JSC "Nikolaevgaz",
- Poltavagaz JSC,
- PJSC "Ternopolgaz"
- Tysmenitsagaz JSC,
- PJSC "Umangaz",
- JSC "Kharkovgaz",
- JSC "Chernovtsygaz",
- Gazovyk LLC.
"Most of these are small oblgas, where economies of scale do not work... The reduction was 5%-30%, the tariffs of these companies will now be UAH 1,66-1,79 (without VAT)," Gerus wrote in his Telegram - channel
