Acting Minister of Energy Yury Boyko announced an increase in electricity tariffs for household consumers.
Boyko argued for such intentions with the need to "stabilize the unbalanced electric energy market."
"The task is difficult. Especially in conditions when the provision of the population has objectively suffered... Including forced quarantine measures. Therefore, work is being done to make the most balanced decision on this painful issue," he emphasized.
Acting the minister added that new tariffs should be approved next week.
"I think that as early as next week, a decision will be ready to be adopted, which will provide for a maximally balanced and very soft approach to household tariffs," Boyko announced.
As a reminder, Yury Boyko was appointed acting of the Minister of Energy on November 20 by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.
