Cristiano Ronaldo dropped $4 billion worth of Coca Cola shares with one gesture

It happened at the European Football Championship.

At Euro-2020, a curious and indicative case occurred. At the pre-match press conference before the game with Hungary, just one gesture of the captain of the Portugal team, Cristiano Ronaldo, caused serious losses to the American company Coca Cola, writes the Spanish Marca newspaper.

The company's shares fell in price by about four billion dollars after Cristiano Ronaldo disdainfully pushed aside two bottles of Coke and then demonstratively took a bottle of water in his hand and raised it, clearly indicating his preferences.

The message was very clear, and, instantly becoming viral on social networks, it had an impact on the financial world as well.

Coca Cola shares fell from $56,10 to $55,22 a piece almost immediately after Ronaldo's gesture, meaning the company's capitalization fell from $242 billion to $238 billion.

Let us remind you that the Portuguese star is an ardent supporter of a healthy lifestyle and does not like carbonated drinks, including Coca-Cola.
