Timofey Mylovanov, freelance adviser to the head of the Office of the President Andrey Yermak, said that this year Ukraine will no longer be able to receive a tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) due to a lack of time, however, Kyiv can reach an agreement with the Fund at the working level, which will allow it to receive loans from other sources.
Timofey Mylovanov stated this on the air of the talk show "Freedom of Speech" on ICTV.
"There will be no tranche. This is simply unreal. Physically and calendar-wise, we do not have time. There will be no tranche this year," Ermak's advisor said.
However, he assured that by the end of the year it will be possible to reach agreements with the IMF at the working level.
"This will be a positive signal to all financial markets, which will allow Ukraine to attract financing for the period while negotiations with the IMF continue, at acceptable interest rates," Timofey Mylovanov is confident.
