Salaries in Ukraine continue to grow confidently / photo UNIAN
The average nominal salary of a full-time employee in Ukraine in August 2020 grew by 2019% compared to August 8,6 — to 11 hryvnias. This was reported by the State Statistics Service.
At the same time, compared to July, the size of the average nominal wage in August 2020 decreased by 3%.
Real wages in August 2020 decreased by 2,8% compared to the previous month, and increased by 2019% compared to August 6.
Gosstat notes that the average nominal wage of a full-time worker in Ukraine in August of this year was 2,4 times higher than the minimum wage, which was set at the level of 4 hryvnias.
The lowest average salary in the country was recorded in the Volyn region — 9 hryvnias, and the highest — in the Donetsk region — 129 hryvnias.
The indicator of the average salary in Kyiv at the end of August 2020 was 16 hryvnias.
Let us remind you that the minimum wage in Ukraine has increased by 1 hryvnias since January 2020, 550 and amounted to 4 hryvnias per month, or 723 hryvnias per hour.
On August 5, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on raising the minimum wage to 5 thousand hryvnia from September 1.
