Crypto exchange Binance has banned the sale and purchase of dollars and euros through its p2p service to Russians and everyone in Russia, Russian Forbes writes.

The decision was made in accordance with the tenth package of EU sanctions against Russia, an unnamed representative of the crypto exchange clarified.

In addition, Binance banned the sale and purchase of rubles via p2p to EU citizens. The ban will also affect all natural persons living in Russia, regardless of their "nationality". In addition, the exchange banned EU citizens from buying and selling rubles through P2P.

"To continue using Binance P2P, users can choose other available fiat currencies," the exchange representative said. At the same time, it is emphasized that Russians will still be able to use rubles on Binance.

As Forklog notes, when trying to conduct a transaction, the crypto exchange offers to use the currency of the country that the user specified during verification.

In April 2022, Binance limited access to its services to Russians who have assets with a total value of more than 10 euros. Only the withdrawal feature will be available to users who meet these criteria.

Russians use p2p services as an alternative to SWIFT to withdraw money abroad. With the help of the service, you can transfer funds from one crypto wallet to another or buy cryptocurrency, for example, USDT stablecoin.
