The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved new changes to personnel policy in the army. Conscription to the army will be replaced by recruiting. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Telegram.
Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov signed an order approving the Concept of Military Personnel Policy until 2028. This document provides for the development of personnel policy in the army for 5 years, in particular, both during wartime and during peacetime.
What the Ministry of Defense wants:
— The Armed Forces of Ukraine will transfer to military service under a contract. Term service will be replaced by intensive military training of citizens of conscription age;
— the Armed Forces recruiting system will operate in Ukraine;
— equal opportunities for men and women in the army, consideration of soldiers' education and professional development;
— improved electronic military accounting system;
— automated and digitized personnel management processes;
— cooperation between Ukrainian universities and universities of NATO and EU countries;
— a transparent system of payment and provision of housing;
— improved psychological support, improvement of relations between commanders and subordinates;
— proper conditions for the transition from a military career to civilian life.
Monitoring and evaluation of the results of the implementation of the concept will be carried out by the Personnel Management Committee in the system of the Ministry of Defense.
