Monastyrsky promised to raise the salary of policemen

Already since February.

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of all categories will receive a salary increase starting from February this year. Such a statement was made by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Denys Monastyrskyi. About this official wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, the president ordered a 1% increase in the salaries of policemen, rescuers, border guards, national guardsmen and employees of the migration service as of February 10.

UAH 1 billion has been allocated to increase the salary of law enforcement officers. These funds were obtained thanks to the campaign against the illegal sale of excise goods.

"The salary increase is based on the specific results of our team's work. My personal position is that all additional funds coming into the budget from excise payments should be used to increase the wages of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who, taking care of the safety of Ukrainians, risk their lives and health every day," Monastyrskyi said.

In addition, since February, they promised to restore the right of policemen and rescuers to preferential financial leasing for housing.

"I also want to note that from February, the right of policemen and rescuers to preferential financial leasing for housing will be restored. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will receive a decent reward for their productive work," added Monastyrskyi.

Let us remind you that President Zelensky had to consider petition Odessa public official about raising the salaries of police officers, which received 25 votes.

The document notes that the financial and social security of police officers must be established at the level of the EU and the USA.

As an argument, the author of the petition reports on the specifics of the work of a police officer: a high level of responsibility, psychological and physical stress, an irregular working day, as well as constant risks to life and health.

Meanwhile, national police officers throughout Ukraine threatened that if the arguments for a salary increase are not heard soon, then they are ready to start an all-Ukrainian police strike.
