Odesa BF "Platinum Dobro Ukraine" won the trust of the large American company GEM

A huge truck with humanitarian aid from the American international organization "Global Empowerment Mission" (GEM) arrived in Odesa for the first time. From among hundreds of foundations and volunteer organizations, the president of the company, Michael Capponi, who has been helping Ukraine since the first days of the war, showed his trust in the volunteers of the Odesa Charitable Foundation "Platinum Dobro Ukraine".

"Michael Capponi's largest warehouse is located in Warsaw. It was there that they collected these boxes with humanitarian aid, which were sent by truck to Odesa — to the "Platinum Dobro" Center. The volume of the truck we received is 80 cubic meters. It contains 450 boxes weighing 12-15 kg. - said Anzhelika Romanchikova, head of the "Platinum Dobro Ukraine" Foundation. — Each box includes help for the family: there are cereals, and hygiene, and sweets, and basic necessities, even cosmetics for women. We are very grateful for GEM's trust."

In a few days, almost half a thousand families registered with the "Platinum Dobro Ukraine" fund to receive humanitarian aid from the GEM company.

"We are glad that we have the opportunity to help people who, at the time of war and aggression from Russia, cannot help themselves," said the representative of the GEM company, Alex Bolbirer.

The "Platinum Dobro Ukraine" Foundation itself was created almost from the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, on March 1. The Help Center began its activities on the basis of an elite car showroom with an area of more than 1000 square meters. m. During six months of work, the Foundation gained unique experience in the field of charity and became one of the largest centers in terms of humanitarian aid in the Odesa region and in Ukraine in general.

"We used to sell luxury cars. Together with my husband, we made an important decision for ourselves that we want to help, not earn money. Now is not the right time," said Foundation President Anzhelika Romanchykova.

Every day, the Charitable Fund receives huge queues of citizens. Immigrants with children under the age of 14, pregnant women, large families and families with disabled children can receive help here, regardless of their place of residence. The Center helps with clothes, shoes, food, cereals, and hygiene products. For the smallest - diapers, baby formula.

It is very important that it can be obtained on the very first day of application — without bureaucratic red tape, based on relevant documents and a written application.

"On average, 300-400 families come to us every day. We have been working non-stop for almost six months. During this period, we helped more than 19 families in Ukraine who needed it," emphasized the head of "Platymum Dobro Ukraine".

Currently, the Foundation employs 40 volunteers, most of whom know from their own experience what it is like to live under constant enemy fire. Yulia, a migrant from Mariupol, has been helping the Foundation almost since its first days of operation:

"There was an opportunity to leave, but unfortunately, as we found out, not everyone was able to reach the final destination. There was shelling, and the road was mined. I have been in Odessa for 4 months now, I am at the Headquarters, I help others as I can, and I am watching what is happening, how it is developing. And today it is a new level," said the volunteer of the Foundation.

There are 137 villages from all over Ukraine under the auspices of the "Platinum Dobro Ukraine" Foundation. In addition to humanitarian aid to the displaced, the Foundation handed over oxygen cylinders and medicines to the military hospital, a car for the military to the front line in Kherson, 40 tons of water to Mykolaiv, from where more than half a thousand locals were evacuated in their own vehicles, saving them from constant shelling by the Russian occupiers.

The leaders of the Aid Center crossed the border from Italy and brought an ambulance to Mariupol, and literally saved the lives of hundreds of people in Ochakiv by supplying the local Red Cross with the necessary medicines and oxygen cylinders in a day.

Every day, the Foundation's social media page records all its work step by step — from receiving humanitarian aid, purchasing goods to form a food package, to handing it over to people. The Foundation receives the necessary items as humanitarian aid from Europe. They also help Odessa: dishes, clothes, shoes, toys, children's beds, etc. are brought to the Center.
