The fifth president of Ukraine, the leader of "European Solidarity" Petro Poroshenko suddenly entered the frame of the live broadcast of the TV channel "Rada" and created a conflict situation.
Poroshenko entered the studio located in the parliament building. There was a morning live broadcast and a conversation with Danylo Hetmantsev, People's Deputy from "Servants of the People" and head of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy.
The former president approached the presenters and declared that the TV channel was interfering with the work of people's deputies.
Poroshenko refused the invitation to sit down at the table and join the conversation. Then the politician turned to face the cameras and already stated that "taxpayers' funds were illegally spent" on updating the parliamentary TV channel.
The People's Deputy refused the sound equipment offered to him by the journalists, and in the end he left the frame.
On the sidelines, Poroshenko gave comments and explained his concession with "excessive emotions". The politician also objected that the "Rada" channel was updated by the same team that launched "Pryamoy".
The "Rady" journalist noted that the TV channel is ready to give Poroshenko a floor and invites him on the air at any time convenient for the politician. The leader of "EC" thanked, but said that he would do it "when the editorial policy of the TV channel will correspond to the charter and the law."
Let us remind you that on December 14, the parliamentary TV channel "Rada" announced an update of its format - with a modern parliamentary studio and an additional studio in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Critics draw attention to that. Medvedchuk's ex-hosts of pro-Russian TV channels will now host programs on the Rada parliamentary channel. In particular, it is said about the former host of "112 Ukraine" Vadim Kolodiychuk and Anastasia Krasnitskaya, ex-host of ZIK Nazarii Dlynn, host of the Live channel Maksym Zborovsky, Larisa Bogdanova and Natalya Androschuk.
The Rada TV channel was updated by Aleksey Semenov. People's deputy from "European Solidarity" Iryna Gerashchenko the day before accused the authorities of reforming the media "the person who put on the Medvedchuk channel".
