In the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), a citizen was publicly executed. He was accused of violating quarantine rules and smuggling from China.
He writes about this with reference to his own sources in the country FRG.
It is reported that on November 28, a 50-year-old man was publicly shot on charges of violating "extraordinary quarantine measures" and allegedly smuggling goods from China. At the same time, the goal of such measures was to intimidate the population and force them to strictly observe the quarantine introduced due to the coronavirus.
At the same time, the North Korean authorities say that there have been no cases of coronavirus infection in North Korea. But as a resident of the North Pyongan province, on the border with China, told the source, the Central Committee of the Korean Workers' Party strengthened quarantine measures to "extraordinary quarantine measures of a very high level."
"Whenever people complain about the lack of means of subsistence, the authorities always try to silence them, threatening them with public executions or sending them to camps for political prisoners," the publication added.
