In Yerevan, the opposition blocked the streets and demanded Pashinyan's resignation

Opposition activists began to block the central streets of Yerevan on Tuesday afternoon

On Tuesday afternoon, opposition activists began blocking the central streets of Yerevan — Mashtots, Abovyan, Teryan and others — demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

This is reported by the Armenian media.

"Nikol must leave, Nikol is a traitor!" chanted the participants of the protest.

Earlier, during a live broadcast on the Facebook page, the representative of the "Dashnaktsutyun" party, Ishkhan Sagatelyan, said that 17 opposition parties of Armenia will start protest actions, after the deadline for which they demanded expired at 12:00 (10:00 Kyiv time) Pashinyan's resignation.

"Dear fellow citizens, as you can see, it is already 12:08 a.m., and Pashinyan has not resigned. Starting from this second until 17:00 p.m. (15:00 p.m. Kyiv time), you can freely hold peaceful civil disobedience actions," said Sagatelyan, addressing the supporters.

Opposition politicians believe that the joint statement signed by Nikol Pashinyan with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyeva on November 9 on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh was, in fact, a capitulation. Opponents of the current Armenian prime minister also blame him for the economic and social problems of the republic. Against the background of the current situation in the country, the President of Armenia, Armen Sargsyan, called for the holding of early parliamentary elections, and for them to hand over power to the government of national unity.
