Lomachenko lost to Lopez

And he said that he did not agree with the judges' decision

Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko lost the fight for the title of absolute world champion in lightweight to the American Teofimo Lopez (up to 61,2 kg). This was reported by the correspondent of Elitexpert.media.

The fight took place on the night of October 18 (according to Kyiv - Sunday morning) in Las Vegas (USA). The judges gave the victory to Lopez by unanimous decision: 116 – 112, 119 – 109, 117-111. In this way, the American won the championship belts of the WBC Franchise, WBA Super, WBO and IBF versions.

However, after the fight Lomachenko said that he did not agree with the decision of the judges who awarded the victory to Lopez.

"I do not know. To be honest, I thought half the fight was even. Maybe he won somewhere by 1-2 rounds, but in the second half I got involved. In principle, I believe that I took the second half. I want to come home and watch the fight again, but I do not agree with the decision (of the judges, note). I thought I would win, but the result is the result. I'm not going to argue with him now," the boxer said.

And he added that he would talk to his promoter and manager.

"We will discuss everything and decide what to do next," Lomachenko said.
