Thus, in the event of a victory in the match by the Ukrainian national team or a draw, Switzerland risked leaving the elite division.
He also reported that a legal position is already being prepared with the aim of recognizing the actions of the Swiss side to cancel the match as illegal and discriminatory.
"Appropriate appeals and legal proceedings will be initiated before the administrative and judicial authorities of Switzerland to protect the interests of the national team. If the latter do not respond to gross violations of the Ukrainian team's rights and facts of discrimination, the issue will be referred to international organizations for consideration," Bugai summarized.
Let us remind you that the match "Switzerland-Ukraine" was canceled based on the decision of the chief sanitary doctor of Lucerne to quarantine all players of the Ukrainian team. The national team was refused a second "covid" test, while the first one showed positive results in three players.
However, after returning to Ukraine, the entire team and delegates of the UAF again passed tests for the coronavirus, and all of them turned out to be negative.
The fate of the match "Switzerland - Ukraine" must now be decided by UEFA.
