On December 1, a grandiose large-scale study was completed in Ukraine - the Second National Influence Rating "Ukrainian Elite-2021", conducted by the International Expert Club and rating agency ElitExpert. Its result was 24 ratings of influential persons from each region of the country, and a national hundred of key figures of the state.
Since Zaporizhia is one of the largest industrial centers of Ukraine, it is not surprising that there are many people connected with industrial production in the TOP-20 of the National Influence Rating-2021 in the Zaporizhia region. On the other hand, there was a place in the list for local elites, people's deputies, and security forces.
On the first line, experts put the "patriarch" of the Zaporozhye region - the owner of the Motor Sych group of companies, the People's Deputy of four convocations, the Hero of Ukraine Vyacheslav Boguslaev. Despite his respectable age — 83 — and his temporary withdrawal from politics (in 2019, he lost to a candidate from "Servants of the People") in the parliamentary elections, Boguslaev is still a key figure in the region.
The businessman has a fortune of half a billion dollars, tens of thousands of people work at his factories, and his opinion and experience are listened to even in Kyiv.
He was on the second line in the TOP-20 Vladimir Buryak, twice the mayor of Zaporozhye, who prematurely and inexplicably resigned from the post of mayor two months ago, at the end of September 2021. Meanwhile, Buryak did not leave politics and still controls the city council through his own party "Unity", which constitutes the majority in the local assembly. Experts believe that Buryak has remained the full-fledged owner of the city, while his hands are untied, since officially he is no longer responsible for anything.
The third term of the rating was taken by the head of the Zaporozhye OGA Alexander Starukh. He has held his current post only since December 2020, but he is a veteran of Zaporozhian politics. Starukh first held a similar position in 2008 under Viktor Yushchenko, worked as the head of the Zaporozhye region before Viktor Yanukovych came to power. Later, he was a deputy of the regional council, and with the arrival of Vladimir Zelensky's team, his experience was in demand in new conditions.
On the fourth line is the head of the Supervisory Board of the alcohol holding "Global Spirits" (TM "Khortytsa", TM "Shustov", etc.) Evgeny Chernyak with a fortune of more than 300 million dollars. Note that Chernyak is not only an influential businessman, but also recently a popular YouTube blogger, the author of the channel called "Big Money". In addition, he founded the Big Money University project, which helps budding entrepreneurs from all over the world develop a successful business from scratch.
She took fifth place in the rating Elena Zhuk - Chairman of the Zaporozhye Regional Council. She is a newcomer to local politics, and took up her post on New Year's Eve 2021, but in the past 11 months since then, her influence in the region has grown significantly. At the same time, before the beginning of her political career, she specialized in foreign economic operations and investment attraction. In particular, Vitaly Bohovyna worked in the BKW Group group of companies, and was also his assistant as a People's Deputy.
And exactly Vitaliy Bogovin took sixth place in the ranking of the most influential Zaporozhians. He is a large entrepreneur in the agricultural sector, and in 2020 he alternately held the posts of chairman of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration and the Zaporizhia Regional Council.
Seventh place in Alexander Kurtev, the acting mayor of Zaporozhye, and he received this position only two months ago. It can be said that his candidacy is a compromise among various local groups of influence, and so far he received such a high place in the rating in advance - for the chair he is currently sitting on.

Her weight in society became especially noticeable in the last scandal with the so-called "Wagnergate" - it was Sokolova's published documents that led to large-scale upheavals at the top of the country and a crisis in government offices.
In tenth place — Grigory Samardak. His political career is in many ways similar to Vitaly Bogovyn - like him, a large businessman managed to be both the head of the Zaporozhye region and the head of the regional council. Coming from the once most influential financial and industrial group in the region, he retains considerable weight in the region even after his resignation.
The participants ranked in the second ten of the list as follows. In eleventh place is the recently appointed deputy head of the President's Office Rostislav Shurma, ex-general director of "Zaporozhstal", the main city-forming enterprise of Zaporozhye.
