TOP-20 most influential people of Transcarpathia: the "grey cardinal" of Yushchenko's time became the leader

He is still the sovereign owner of the region.

Transcarpathia is a special region on the map of Ukraine, bordering four European states. Its unique location became the basis of a favorable climate for business and entrepreneurship.

In the TOP-20 influential people of Transcarpathia, who published on the website of the National Rating of Influence-2021, many interesting facts can be traced. So, in addition to politicians who traditionally occupy the first positions in the list, this year a young entrepreneur who came up with a project to recycle fallen leaves into paper, as well as a writer who is rapidly gaining popularity, entered the rating.

The leader became a well-known politician with many years of experience, who started working in public positions more than 20 years ago. This is People's Deputy Viktor Baloga, who during the presidency of Viktor Yushchenko was the former head of the Presidential Secretariat and was considered the "gray cardinal" of Ukrainian politics, one of the most influential people in the country.

To this day, he exerts a significant influence on the Transcarpathian region.

The mayor of Uzhgorod is on the second line Bogdan Andreev, who has held this position for six years. "Bronze" went to the head of the Accounting Chamber Valery Patskan originally from Transcarpathia. During the rule of Yanukovych and Poroshenko, he was a people's deputy.

On the fourth position is the acting head of the OGA Pyotr Dobromilskyi, who previously held the position of deputy head of the regional state administration. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, appointed him in November, after the head of the OGA, Anatoly Poloskov, submitted his resignation.

In fifth place - Vladimir Chubirko, on November 25, he was elected head of the Transcarpathian Regional Council. He was the only candidate nominated for this post on November 15. By the way, Chubirko was already the chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council for a year - from November 28, 2014 to December 1, 2015.

The former head of Zakarpattia OGA took sixth place Anatoly Poloskov. On November 18, he resigned from his position together with three of his deputies, declaring that "changes in the lives of each of us are inevitable."

In seventh place is a former People's Deputy Alexander Ledida, who in 2010-2014 headed the Transcarpathian OGA.

The eighth position after the people's deputy is "Servants of the People" Mikhail Laba, the ninth line of the head of the Democratic Union of Hungarians of Ukraine Laszlo Zubanicha.

The tenth place goes to the representative of the "Servant of the People", the general of the SBU, the head of counterintelligence, the ex-head of the Zakarpattia OGA and - until November 25, 2021 - the head of the regional council Alexey Petrov.

On the following ten lines, there are public figures, entrepreneurs who bring innovative projects to life, and cultural figures:

  1. Gennady Gutman - entrepreneur, founder of the Chateau Chizai winery;
  2. Vasyl Ivancho - Deputy Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, Head of the Association "Thermal Waters of Ukraine";
  3. Vasyl Brenzovych – politician, head of the Party of Hungarians of Ukraine;
  4. Oleksandr Solontai - public figure, head of the practical policy program, expert of the Institute of Political Education, founder and first chairman of the All-Ukrainian Youth Public Organization "Fund of Regional Initiatives";
  5. Fedor Sandor - professor of the Uzhgorod National University, president of the Transcarpathian Tourist Organization, tourism expert;
  6. Myroslava Kalamunyak is an entrepreneur who heads the Uzhgorod sewing factory "Parada";
  7. Valentyn Frechka - director and co-owner of RE-leaf PAPER, came up with the project of processing fallen leaves into paper;
  8. Alexander Kovach - winemaker, chairman of the Union of private winegrowers and winemakers of Transcarpathia;
  9. Andrey Lyubka – poet, publicist, translator;
  10. Mikhail Ilko is the founder of the art center ILKO Gallery in Uzhhorod.
