The mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, launched the works on the improvement of the green zone on ul. Army. In the quarter where the square is planned to be improved, the Odessa Lyceum "Evropeyskyi" and multi-storey residential buildings are located.

"Today we started work and talked with local residents. In particular, they discussed the need to organize a passage through the square for students of the nearby "Evropeyskyi" Lyceum. We will hold further negotiations with the parent committee on how to organize this, and we will take these adjustments into account during the work. I think that next year in the Primorsky district of Odesa there will be one more beautiful landscaped green area," noted Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.
In the park, it is planned to perform terracing taking into account the topography of the site, to carry out zoning of the territory: to equip a children's and sports playground, to create quiet rest areas with gazebos or shade canopies, to install a channelized toilet.
The overhaul project also provides for the installation of outdoor lighting, household sewage, household drinking water supply, and automatic irrigation.
"It is important that during the improvement of the park, accessibility conditions for groups of people with limited mobility will be taken into account: barrier-free access to the territory of the park will be provided, ramps and exits with tactile tiles will be installed. And at the entrance to the square, it is planned to install a tactile mnemonic for visitors with visual impairments," Trukhanov emphasized.
In addition, during the improvement of the park, the preservation of existing trees and additional landscaping is assumed.
