In Odessa, a number of consumers of the private sector do not have centralized water drainage. Instead, cesspools are equipped, which must be systematically serviced and cleaned. The activity of private and illegal sewage disposal vehicles led to the fact that sewage waste flowed directly into collectors under the windows of residential buildings, into gullies, ravines, and downspouts. As a result, there were numerous complaints from residents suffering from the stench, sewage networks were damaged, and "Infoksvodokanal" conducted raids with the police, identifying such businessmen.
Now the situation has radically changed. The Odessa City Council, by decision of the session, determined "Infoksvodokanal" to be the only legal provider of liquid household waste removal services in the city. The enterprise has all the necessary infrastructure, starting with special vehicles and ending with biological treatment stations. Employees of the water company use specialized vehicles to pump out cesspools of private houses that have concluded appropriate service contracts. Wastewater is transported to the discharge points of the "Yuzhnaya" and "Severnaya" stations, where several stages of treatment are subsequently carried out. It is convenient, safe for the environment and residents. In addition, this is one of the most important conditions stipulated by the legislation, in particular, the "Rules for the reception of waste water".
Today, more than 2 residents of Odessa use the services of "Infoksvodokanal" for the removal of liquid household waste from cesspools. And their number is growing every day. According to users, it is not even a matter of responsibility for violations of the "Rules of reception of waste water", but of the realization that the guaranteed fulfillment of sanitary standards and requirements will help to solve the most important environmental issue for the resort town. After all, it is much better when sewage does not flow into the catacombs, but into special treatment stations, as it should be in a civilized European city.
In turn, "Infoksvodokanal" calls on residents of Odessa not to remain indifferent to the safety of the environment and to report all cases of illegal discharge of liquid household waste to the company's call center.
Owners of private sanitation vehicles, which have the right to work in the suburbs, can also use the drainage stations of the water utility, if there is an appropriate contract.
