Orthodox pilgrims paralyzed traffic in Odessa

The procession with thousands of parishioners of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Russian Orthodox Church paralyzed traffic on the Odesa Bypass and adjacent streets. It started at 6 in the morning.

Pilgrims go from the church of the Vladimir icon of the Mother of God to the village of Kotovsky, to the village of Marynovka in the Odesa region, where the Pokrovsky hermitage is located.

Since movement in one direction is practically paralyzed, traffic jams stretch for several kilometers. Believers are accompanied by the police, doctors and rescuers.

Drivers who got stuck there say that cars are parked along the bypass almost to the Dnepropetrovsk road. The photo shows that traffic is moving freely in the other direction.

Many pilgrims plan to stay overnight in Marinovka upon arrival. They want to set up a tent camp there for them.
