Maksym Tkachuk and Trukhanov looked at the boy's new apartment

Maksym Tkachuk found a new home

Maksym Tkachuk is a boy who became the talk of Ukraine after he was denied participation in the national contest for the children's Eurovision Song Contest. He will soon become a real Odessan.

On September 2, Maxim and his grandmother were presented with a certificate for housing in Odessa. And already on October 17, together with the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, Tkachuk came to see his new apartment.

"This is an incredibly happy day for us. We are very happy, and we can't even believe that this is happening to us," said grandmother Maxima Larisa Vladimirovna.

"We will start life in a new apartment with a new leaf. But there are things that are unchangeable - I will continue to be engaged in music, to delight people with singing. And even if someone doesn't like it, I will do it for those who like it," Maksym Tkachuk said.

The apartment is located in a building under construction on Ovidiopolskaya road. The two-room apartment will be handed over to Maxim after the house is commissioned.

"For many children and adolescents, Maxim's story is an example of what it is necessary to study and strive to achieve something. I am grateful to his grandmother for raising him to be such a kind and open boy. I am sure that Maxim will continue to delight us with his talent and will glorify our country abroad," said Gennady Trukhanov.

12-year-old orphan Maksym Tkachuk was refused registration for the National Selection in the children's song contest "Eurovision-2020" due to violations of the rules for the selection of participants.
