The current mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, confidently wins the elections in Odessa without any problems and with a solid margin.
This was stated by a political scientist, a teacher of KNU named after Taras Shevchenko Petr Oleschuk on his Facebook page.
"Somewhere the situation is still not completely clear. Like in Lviv. Somewhere more clear. For example, a "hot" Sunday is expected in Odessa, where local residents will choose between the current city head Gennady Trukhanov and representative of the OPZZH Mykola Skoryk. It is not so difficult to predict the results of the elections in Odessa. On the one hand, "depoliticized" Trukhanov, on the other hand, he is a representative of a specific political force with a specific political positioning, which, to put it mildly, is not liked by many representatives of completely different political forces and worldview (with the fact that Trukhanov also does not cause negative emotions in the majority of supporters of OPZZ ), Oleschuk emphasized.
He adds that thanks to the high level of the political structure of Odessa, where completely different political forces will be represented in the city council, the "depoliticized businessman" Trukhanov obviously has every chance to beat his competitors for the third time.
"And - without any particular problems and with a solid margin. His opponent for this is optimal. It is obvious that in the competition between "building site" (Trukhanov) and "Russian world" (Skoryk) in Odessa, "building site" will surely win. This is such an Odessa manifestation of "customer orientation," the expert summarizes.
