Five people have already died as a result of forest fires in the Luhansk region. This was reported in the press service of the Regional State of Ukraine.
A total of 146 fire outbreaks were recorded, 82 of which were extinguished. The fire spread quickly due to the strong wind, which reached 20 m/s.
Officially confirmed about five dead, although the mass media report about six. Another 10 people were hospitalized. According to operational data, about 250 houses were damaged by fire.
In addition to forests, a warehouse of household chemicals and paints and varnishes is burning on the outskirts of Severodonetsk.
The most difficult situation developed along the demarcation line from Stanytsia-Luhanska to Severodonetsk, where forest fires became threatening for 22 settlements.
A total of 1 people and 247 pieces of equipment were involved in the extinguishing.
It will be recalled that earlier the Headquarters of the OOS declared that the fire was caused by the militants.
