Ivano-Frankivsk region has strong investment material, especially in the field of tourism. The nature of the Carpathians is fabulously rich, Frankiv Oblast has a considerable number of ski resorts that are popular not only in Ukraine, but also abroad.
Therefore, it is not surprising that a significant part of entrepreneurs whose business is related to recreational recreation is represented in rating of influential people of Ivano-Frankivsk region, which was conducted by the International Expert Club and rating agency ElitExpert.
However, surprisingly, a representative of a completely different business was on the first step of the National ranking of the influence of the Frankiv region.
He is the founder of the IT company MacPaw Oleksandr Kosovan. At the age of 22, he made his first million by creating the CleanMyMac application for cleaning computers from "junk". Now he is 34 years old and Forbes estimates his fortune at $245 million.
The second step of the rating went to the founder of the ski resort "Bukovel", a former member of parliament and a candidate for the presidency of Ukraine Oleksandr Shevchenko. The 50-year-old politician was engaged in business, worked as a trade manager and installer of radio equipment. However, he is also involved in anti-corruption investigations into the repeated non-competitive receipt of road repair tenders. He was also remembered for a fight in 2014 with the leader of the Radical Party Oleg Lyashko.
Another representative of the Forbes rich list is in the top three of the rating: former People's Deputy of Ukraine of the V convocation, owner of Agricom Group Anatoly Shkryblyak. His fortune is estimated at 130 million dollars. The list of enterprises belonging to it includes: 13 agricultural companies, a warehouse for wholesale trade in agricultural goods, production of cereals and flour, 4 thermal power plants (Darnytsia, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Sumy), as well as a number of different enterprises, the total number of which is 28 industries, funds, shopping malls, etc.
The experts awarded the 4th place to an outstanding Ukrainian novelist, poet, and translator Yuriy Andruhovych, who lives and works in Ivano-Frankivsk. Andruhovych's presence in this city influenced the formation of the local artistic environment. Andruhovych's work has a significant impact on the course of today's literary process in Ukraine. The first facts of unbiased interest in modern Ukrainian literature in Western Europe are connected with his name. Andruhovych's works have been translated into Polish, English, German, French, Russian, Hungarian, Finnish, Swedish, Spanish, Czech, Slovak, Croatian, Serbian, and Esperanto.
The top five leaders are rounded off by the strongest man of Ukraine, holder of the title of "World's Strongest Man", actor and newly elected People's Deputy from "Servant of the People" Vasyl Virastyuk. The politician has considerable influence in sports. In May 2003, on Lviv Day, Vasyl Virastyuk set a world record by pulling five tram cars more than 10 meters and ten connected cars almost 20 meters.
In 6th place is the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk and the former deputy of the 7th convocation Ruslan Marcinkiv. On the eve of local elections in 2020, a survey was conducted by the sociological group "Rating". 90% of respondents were generally satisfied with Marcinkiv's performance as mayor. Therefore, the absolute majority of citizens supported him in the 2020 local elections.
Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Ivano-Frankivsk Archdiocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Volodymyr Voytyshyn took the 7th step. He has the right to convene the Metropolitan Synod, which regulates issues of the Church's activities in a certain territory, has the right to ordain and enthrone the bishops of his metropolis, to take care of the strict observance of the faith, to conduct canonical visitations if they are neglected in the dioceses.
The head of the Ivano-Frankivsk State Administration took the 8th place Svitlana Onishchuk. In 2018, Svitlana Vasylivna was awarded the honorary title "Honored Lawyer of Ukraine". She began her political activity in 2012, before that she worked as a teacher at the Department of State Administration and Local Self-Government and the Department of Economic and Legal Disciplines. It affects the work of local OTGs and relations with the government.
The 9th step was taken by a well-known Franconian entrepreneur, an honored worker of the service sector of Ukraine, a valid member of the Academy of Construction of Ukraine, an Honorary Worker of Tourism of Ukraine, the founder of the Nadiya company, an inventor Myroslav Boyko. The entrepreneur is considered an authoritative figure in the inventive circles of Prykarpattia. His creative works include several dozen inventions and innovative proposals, hundreds of economic, managerial, and technical solutions. He created one of the largest hotel and tourist complexes in the Carpathian region, which provides first-class services, produces high-quality products, restores and develops the best traditions of culinary art, and offers jobs.
The top ten closes Ivan Gavron — a top Ukrainian hotelier, known in Europe. He is the founder and owner of the luxury Romantik Spa Hotel with thermal pools and spa in Yaremchi.
The head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council Oleksandr Sych took the 11th place, followed by the chief rabbi of Western Ukraine, Moishe Leib Kolesnyk.
The 13th step was taken by Ihor Halamenda, a great businessman, owner of "Torgovy Service" LLC, tenant of the Ivano-Frankivsk Central Market. Then comes another representative of the business — owner of Wexler Group, founder of OPTIMUSOIL LLC Petro Belz.
15th place was taken by People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 2019th convocation (2020-XNUMX) and Mayor of Nadvirnya Zinovii Andriyovych.
