Belgorod-Dniester police began a pre-trial investigation into the fact of poisoning of children in a children's camp. This was reported to the regional police department.
Six children between the ages of 8 and 10, who came to Sergeevka village to participate in football competitions, were hospitalized with food poisoning and intoxication. It is preliminarily established that the children ate in the canteen on the territory of the camp, after which they became ill.
Law enforcement officials entered information on this fact into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under part 1 of Article 325 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of sanitary rules and norms for the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisoning). The sanction of this article provides for punishment in the form of a fine from one thousand to three thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or arrest for a term of up to six months, or restriction or deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years.
As part of the criminal proceedings, specialists took samples of water and food and washed the tableware.
At this time, the police are investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
