Law enforcement officers detained a lawyer in Kyiv who demanded 160 from the businessman. US dollars. This was reported in the State Bureau of Investigation.
The lawyer decided to fraudulently take possession of the money of a businessman who tried to return eight plots of land illegally registered to another person.
The lawyer assured the entrepreneur that, for a fee, she would be able to influence the Board of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to make a positive decision to cancel registration actions and return land plots to him.
However, according to the legislation, this question had to be decided in favor of the businessman anyway.
It is known that the lawyer acted in collusion with other persons, whom the investigation is still investigating.
Thus, the woman is suspected of committing a criminal offense provided for in part 2 of article 15 and part 4 of article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely, in an attempt to take over someone else's property by deception, committed by a large group of individuals in a prior collusion.
If found guilty, she faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
