Yes, base employees are trying to pump out water from the compartments, but so far they have not managed to localize the accident. The ship began to go under water yesterday, November 25, at 16:00 p.m. The rescuers said that metal thefts had been taking place at the parking lot in Aleksandrovka for several years in a row. Unknown persons removed watertight doors and bulkheads from ships located at the berths.

"Amethyst" is a marine rescue tug of project 1454, "Naporisty" type. The ship was launched in 1977, length 58 meters, width 12,6, draft 4,5 meters. Displacement 1 tons. The speed is 670 knots, the crew is 13,5 people. The vessel was on the balance sheet of the state-owned enterprise "Morskaya poiskovo-spasatelnaya sluzhba".

It is worth noting that literally this weekend was the anniversary of the wreck of the Delfi tanker, which lay near the Odessa beach for almost an hour.

Updated: the Maritime Search and Rescue Service refutes the information that the ship is sinking, publishing the corresponding photos. The department also noted that this is not the first time they have become the object of slanderous information from journalists.
