Zelensky spoke about his communication with Putin

Communication with the President of Russia is limited, but substantive

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he has different formats for negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said this in an interview with the Slovak economic publication Hospodárske noviny, the press service of the head of state reports.

"We have different formats of communication with President Putin - both the Normandy four-way format and the bilateral format: when there is such a need, we speak directly," Zelensky said.

And he noted that this helps to find the right solutions, which are important not only for Ukraine, but also for the whole of Europe.

"For example, in December last year we reached an agreement on the transit of Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine. This guarantees energy stability for our entire part of the continent," the president explained.

Zelensky recalled that he had spoken with Putin on July 26, the eve of the establishment of a ceasefire in the east.

"And we have the longest "silence" regime. Communication with the President of Russia is limited, but substantive. As a perfectionist, I would like to make our dialogue more effective," the head of state summed up.
