The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated the People's Republic of China on the New Year.
The President's Twitter account published two congratulatory messages. One — with the help of Chinese characters, the second — in Ukrainian.
"On behalf of myself and the people of Ukraine, I want to congratulate the Supreme Leader of the Chinese people, His Excellency President Xi Jinping, and the friendly Chinese people with a Happy New Year," Zelenskyy's post says.
He also reminded that this year China and Ukraine will mark the tenth anniversary of the establishment of a strategic partnership.
"Everything is going well! This year, when the two countries celebrate the tenth anniversary of the establishment of a strategic partnership, I expressed my readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and China," added Zelensky.
It is worth noting that the people of China will not see the congratulation of the Ukrainian leader, as Twitter is prohibited in China.
