The Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine is retiring

Mammadov said that he had already written a resignation letter

Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Gunduz-ogly Mamedov wrote a statement of dismissal. He reported this on Twitter.

"Thank you to everyone who was there during these difficult last 6 years and did impossible things: on the legal front, he opposed the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and believed in the possibility of the development of juvenile justice and implemented this project. To be continued... I serve the Ukrainian people," he wrote.

Let us remind you that Gundyuz-ogly Mamedov is a graduate of Odessa State University named after I. Mechnikov. He worked in the prosecutor's office of the Primorsky district of Odessa, the prosecutor's office of the Kyiv region, was the head of the investigative department of the Dnipro ecological prosecutor's office, the prosecutor of Odessa, the deputy prosecutor of the Odessa region and the prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Krym.

He was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine on October 18, 2019.

According to mass media, on July 7, the State Bureau of Investigation opened criminal proceedings against Mamedov under Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Official fraud). Mammadov is accused of not having indicated in the documents that he worked part-time at the Odessa National University named after Mechnikov.
